Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. Burrell was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also co-hosting Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef and her distinctive spiky blond locks and pumped up appearance, offers simple techniques that any person can master. Chef Burrell also worked at several of the city's most prestigious establishments, learned about the Italian food and culture and has competed on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell was born living in New York State's Upstate, discovered a love of cooking. The Culinary Institute of America was the catalyst for her passion for restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America is where I spent my most memorable time in my life. It was hard to study, do or work enough. After graduating, Burrell spent one year in Italy studying at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and worked in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected the way she cooks. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to increase living conditions for children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about childhood diabetes. In her capacity as a speaker, she makes trips across the country to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she often says that she feels very fortunate to share my true passion for life with people.
