Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played on the CBS comedy Mom. Calvano was born in California and was first interested in gymnastics. Later, however, Calvano chose to pursue acting as a profession. In 2010 she made her debut on screen in a scene from the CBS series 'NCIS.' In the biographical crime drama movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance in front of the camera a couple of months after. Through the course of time she's been recognized to be one of the top young actresses in the industry today. The year she was born, she won an award nomination to the Young Artist Award, Best Performance of an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress on a TV Series for her part in "NCIS". She was also nominated in 2013 for a Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest star in the comedy series of Disney XD 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a significant role in "Mom" in the series the first three seasons of in addition to making appearances on several episodes of Season four. Her performance in the show "Mom" was recognized with an award called the Gracie Allen Award as Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star.
